Stop Building Alone: Your Invitation to Business After Hours at CoWork

Written by Davone Bonneau Jr. | Oct 13, 2026, 3:05:48 PM

CoWork at Riverside EpiCenter is Mableton's home base for entrepreneurs, creatives and remote professionals. The best way in is Business After Hours, free, on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

You know the setup.

Laptop on the kitchen table. A coffee shop booth you've been renting with one latte for three hours. A client call taken from the front seat of your car, engine running, hoping the signal holds.

If you're building a business, a brand or a creative career anywhere in metro Atlanta, you've probably worked from all three. And you've felt what none of them give you: other people who get it.

Those people exist. Plenty of them live and work right here in Mableton and South Cobb. On Wednesday, October 21, they'll be in one room.

Come meet them.

Business After Hours is networking that doesn't feel like networking

Business After Hours is CoWork's community networking night at Riverside EpiCenter. It brings together professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, creatives and community leaders in a relaxed, intentional setting.

Forget what you picture when you hear "networking." No stack of business cards you'll never look at again. No elevator pitches shouted across a crowded room. The point of the night is simple: real conversations, shared interests, and walking out knowing at least a few people you want to stay in touch with.

A few real relationships in one evening. Most of us have sat through entire conferences and walked out with less.

And it's working. Past Business After Hours events have connected members, local businesses, community organizations and professionals who have gone on to explore working together. Conversations turned into relationships. Relationships turned into possibilities.

This month's edition also includes a short segment, "Menopause & Meaningful Connections," with health experts from Cobb & Douglas Public Health and Wellstar. Then it's back to the conversations.

  • Freelancers and remote professionals who are tired of working in isolation

  • Anyone who simply wants to meet good people doing good work

First time? That's who it's built for. Expect a welcoming room, easy conversation and a night designed to make connecting feel natural, not transactional.

CoWork is more than a place to open a laptop

Business After Hours is the front door. CoWork is the house behind it.

CoWork at Riverside EpiCenter is a coworking space and professional community built to meet you where your business is right now:

  • A professional place to work for the day
  • Meeting rooms for client calls, pitches and closing deals
  • Dedicated offices for when you need a door that closes
  • Team space so your crew can finally sit at the same table
  • A community to plug into, the part no kitchen table can offer

Heading into 2027, CoWork is being rebranded to say out loud what it has been becoming: a community and a platform for connection, creativity, business development and collaboration. The goal is an experience that feels modern, welcoming, elevated and intentional. Easy to use, professional, comfortable, and built for the caliber of people already walking through the doors.

For creatives, that matters even more. Creative work needs rooms where you can make it, collaborate on it, meet the people who'll pay for it, and have it seen. CoWork is opening more of those doors.

In 2027, the community takes the stage

CoWork's 2027 calendar is taking shape around what today's professionals and business owners actually need:

  • Networking events, led by Business After Hours
  • Workshops and professional development
  • Entrepreneurship programming
  • Creative events and local talent showcases
  • Community conversations with local organizations and subject-matter experts
  • Topics including technology and AI, business development, wellness, leadership, financial literacy and entrepreneurship

Here's the part worth circling: you won't just attend the programming. You can lead it.

Members will have chances to lead workshops, speak on panels, showcase their businesses and creative work, and collaborate on events. Local businesses, organizations and creatives can get involved as sponsors, educational partners, speakers, vendors or featured participants.

The first step is a conversation, and Business After Hours is the easiest place to have it.

Meet the person behind the room

Every good room has someone who built it on purpose. At CoWork, that's Christa Lee.

Christa serves as Business Office Manager and CoWork Manager at Riverside EpiCenter. She runs CoWork day to day: the operations, the member experience, the programming, the partnerships and Business After Hours itself. Her background spans business operations, administration and community engagement, so she knows both halves of the job. A workspace has to run well, and a community has to feel like one.

Ask her what makes coworking work, and she skips right past the furniture.

"A successful coworking community isn't just about desks, offices, and meeting rooms. It's about the people using the space and the connections that can come from bringing the right people together."

That is the idea behind Business After Hours, and behind everything CoWork is building next.

"There is so much talent throughout Metro Atlanta, and I want CoWork to be a place where people can discover opportunities, meet the right people, and turn ideas into action."

Metro Atlanta doesn't have a talent shortage. It has a connection gap. The founder who needs a photographer. The designer who needs a developer. Often ten minutes apart, and never in the same room. Christa's goal is to close that gap, helping people meet outside their normal circles and discover resources, businesses and professionals they might never have found on their own.

And when she looks ahead to the end of 2027, she isn't thinking about square footage.

"I want someone to hear 'CoWork at Riverside EpiCenter' and immediately think about community, opportunity, creativity, and meaningful relationships."

Your seat is waiting

If you're an entrepreneur, freelancer, remote professional or creative in Mableton, South Cobb or anywhere across metro Atlanta, here's your next move:

  1. RSVP free for Business After Hours on Oct. 21. Leave with names, not just cards.
  2. Tour CoWork. Find the setup that fits where your business is today.
  3. Bring an idea. A workshop, a panel topic, a showcase or a partnership for 2027.

CoWork is a place where business and creativity meet, where relationships turn into opportunities, and where people feel like they belong while they build what comes next.

So close the laptop on the kitchen table for one night. Wednesday, October 21, 6 PM. Free to attend, free to park, no dress code. Come to Business After Hours. Say hello to Christa. Meet the people already building here, and tell them what you're working on.

The right conversation is waiting in this room.
