EpiFIT Club at the Riverside Epicenter is proud to announce its latest partnership with Zr0Chill (@zr0_chillcryo).

Founded by Nate Watson and Dima Zanhour-Watson, MPH, Zr0Chill offers whole body CryoTherapy .

Now, members can skip the ice baths, ice packs, and save time during their after workout recovery.

For those of you that may be asking, what is CryoTherapy and why should I use it?

CryoTherapy is any treatment that involves the use of freezing or near freezing temperatures to promote recovery for various health issues related to strenuous activity such as working out. This refers to placing ice packs on your joints, or using products such as IcyHot to help soothe yourself after injury or workouts.  Zr0Chill offers Whole-body cryotherapy. Whole Body Cryotherapy is a kind of cryogenic therapy where you expose your body to very cold temperatures for a short time. The idea is that the cold helps with inflammation, and reduces pain and other symptoms related to working out. The traditional solution for Whole Body CryoTherapy was sitting in an ice bath for 30 minutes.  Now athletes and fitness enthusiasts can shorten their post workout recovery time all the way down to just 3 to 5 minutes.  That’s right, down to just 3 to 5 minutes, and you’re on your way with the rest of your day. As for why you should you use Whole Body CryoTherapy, there are several benefits of Whole Body CryoTherapy that go beyond after workout recovery. Many manufacturers of cryotherapy tanks and businesses contend that whole-body cryotherapy can help with several health issues.

Many of these companies promote that it can improve symptoms of:

  • Asthma
  • Alzheimer's disease
  • Anxiety
  • Chronic pain and fibromyalgia
  • Depression
  • Migraines
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Different types of arthritis

Some users and supporters Cryotherapy say that it can even help with weight loss and insomnia. Others claim it can improve your circulation, boost your metabolism, and ease pain after a workout.

Many world class athletes and medical professionals incorporate Whole Body CryoTherapy into their treatments to keep themselves in tip top shape, and to stay prepared for what comes next.

Nate Watson is a former athlete that played collegiate basketball at Auburn University. Dima Zanhour-Watson, MPH is a Public Health Professor, they both understand the importance and the benefits of Whole Body CryoTherapy. They are each strong advocates for this type of therapy and recovery.
