Event Details

Puppet Passport is a free six week creative series made just for adults 55 and up, where stories come to life, memories are honored, and imagination takes center stage. Led by teaching artists from Atlanta's Center for Puppetry Arts, each one hour session uses puppetry as a joyful tool for storytelling, self-expression, cultural exploration, and social connection. No experience is needed, just curiosity and good energy.

Register for each Monday you'd like to attend. Come for one session, a few, or the full journey.

Session 1: Puppets Around the World | Monday, July 13
Discover global puppetry traditions through live demonstrations and hands-on fun, from shadow theater to marionettes and beyond.

Session 2: Movement & Voice | Monday, July 20
Bring puppets to life with simple movement and voice exercises that are great for expression, dexterity, and a whole lot of laughter.

Session 3: Memory in Shadow | Monday, July 27
Create your own shadow puppets inspired by meaningful moments from your life, and watch your memories glow on screen.

Session 4: Story Keepers | Monday, August 3
Turn your memories into mini puppet shows built to share with family and friends. Every life is full of stories worth telling.

Session 5: Musical Memories | Monday, August 10
Lip-sync, groove, and perform to favorite tunes, puppet-style. Bring your song requests and your best moves.

Session 6: Showcase & Tea | Monday, August 17
Celebrate the whole creative journey with performances, museum fun, and a festive toast to your puppet passport adventure.

Each session runs one hour on Monday mornings, and free parking is available on-site. Space is limited to 25 participants per session, so early registration is encouraged.

Presented in partnership with the Center for Puppetry Arts and sponsored by Kaiser Permanente.
